چکیده

In the present work, we modified ZSM-5 zeolite using a bio polymer poly (diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) and employed it for removal of cationic dye, methylene blue from aqueous solution. The chemical physical properties were investigated XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, nitrogen adsorption, TGA 27Al NMR. Modified possesses high surface area pore diameter which was confirmed TEM adsorption analysis. Adsorption on by batch technique. effect different parameters such as dosage, initial concentration, temperature, pH contact time process discussed. Maximum capacity (4.31 mg/g) achieved 0.1 g at optimum conditions (initial dye concentration: 10 mg/L, 10, temperature: 30 °C time: 300 min). experimental data fitted into Langmuir Freundlich models results indicate that followed isotherm. Kinetic pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order models. analysis indicates model is more suitable to describe MB zeolite. reusability test suggests adsorbent could be reused least six times without significant loss in efficiency.

Removal of methylene blue from aqueous solutions using modified clay

Introduction: Discharging of industrial colored wastewaters especially into aqueous environments can cause adverse effects on aquatic life due to their toxic natures. In this study, montmorillonite modified by hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HDTMA-Mt) was used for the adsorption of methylene blue (MB). Materials and Methods: The influence of surfactant loading rate, contact time, pH, adso...

Removal of Basic Blue 159 from Aqueous Solution Using Banana Peel as a Low-Cost Adsorbent

In this paper, the adsorption of Basic Blue159 (BB159) onto banana peel as a low-cost material was studied. At first, the banana peel was sieved. Later, banana peel particles were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out as a fu...
